Tea Infuser- Ball Shape
This tea infuser is a tool that allows you to steep full-leaf loose tea leaves instead of just using a tea bag. It holds full-leaf loose tea leaves together in a neat mesh ball as it keeps leaves from floating freely through out your beverage. At the same time it allows premium tea leaves to unfurl and expand, rewarding you with their full flavour potential.
How to use-
- Fill your tea infuser with one teaspoon of tea. Tip: Try not to overfill the infuser, as the water needs to be able to circulate around the leaves and most leaves will swell.
- Place it in a cup or teapot and top with warm or boiling water.
- Let the tea release its flavours via the infuser and steep for 2-5 minutes.
- Remove the tea infuser and enjoy your drink.
If you use a large cup or mug, adjust the “1 teaspoon per 250ml” guide accordingly.
Steeping Times-
Full-Leaf Loose White: 2-3 minutes
Full-Leaf Loose Green: 2-4 minutes
Full-Leaf Loose Oolong: 5-7 minutes
Full-Leaf Loose Red/Herb: 5-7 minutes
After the tea has finished steeping, remove the infuser and allow it to cool before taking your first sip.
Benefits-
*What I love about THIS tea infuser is that I can brew tea in a cup just like I did with a teabag with the added benefit of using loose, whole leaf tea.
*Brewing with whole leaf has more positives to tea drinking such as a much broader palette of fine teas to choose from plus a fresher and tastier brew.
*Loose leaf may contain more bioactives because higher quality leaves are used. Also leaves in teabags are cut smaller, as this is thought to assist the extraction process.
*More flavourful than tea bags.
*Has a higher concentrations of health benefits
