How to use it:
Tea Tree Essential Oil can be used by adding a couple of drops to your favourite carrier oil at The Online Eczema Health Store we definitely recommend using an organic; Jojoba oil, coconut oil or a Ricebran oil as your carrier oil. Mix it up by shaking to blend it and apply the oil to clean dry or damp skin. I also highly recommend using the oils after having a shower pat your skin dry with a non irritating towel that’s comfortable for your skin and then apply the tea tree oil blend with jojoba mix to the areas of choice or your whole body.
It truly is amazing stuff and it has so many uses..
Extra tips: If you have any eczema scabs on your scalp you can place a couple of drops of this tea tree essential oil to your finger tips or on a cotton tip and apply it directly to the scabs. Another option if you'd prefer; add a couple of drops of tea tree essential oil to a small clean glass adding and stirring in some coconut oil or some fractionated coconut oil and pour it/ apply it to your whole scalp- this is a very soothing blend! Not to mention does wonders for your scalp at the same time. Also this mixture of the tea tree oil and organic coconut oil is anti-dandruff and dry scalp preventing. You should aim to leave it on your scalp for at least half an hour and then wash it off with luke warm water.
If you have a small dried up spot of eczema say on your leg or an arm for example or a random pimple on your face again you can place a couple of tea tree drops onto a cotton tip and apply the tip directly to the affected spot. However please do not apply directly to open wounds, sores, cracks or fissures on the skin, because this essential oil is so potent I do NOT advise this as it can badly sting.
Another beneficial option is to add a drop of tea tree to your moisturising cream.
Other advantages to using this Tea Tree Essential Oil;
Tea Tree Oil is also great for purifying the air, just what is needed to prevent allergens from worsening flareups and itching. To use- add 3 drops to your diffuser.
It is important to only purchase and use a high quality tea tree essential oil one that is of such safe quality that it is even safe to digest.
Many other brands of Essential Oils on the market are not recommended for topical application let alone ingestion. This is because the cheaper synthetic versions can be very irritating to the body and can do more harm than good. As they aren't the real deal and are just a cheaper version which can be harmful to the skin and may cause further harm and irritation to what you may be already experiencing with having eczema. As the old saying goes you get what you pay for I would say this is definitely true and especially when it comes to this topic in particular with essential oils.
